What should I expect?

From start to finish, here’s how our process usually works.

step one:
SITE VISIT

After you call to set up a consultation, Peter will visit your residence or property and examine the existing space and system including ductwork, layout, use and size. He’ll use this info to determine the most cost-effective configuration to heat and cool your home.

step two:
QUOTE

Depending on project scope and complexity but usually by the next day, you will receive a quote detailing expected costs for the service plus:

  • How to use state energy rebates to offset cost
  • Detailed product and warranty information
  • Heat loss calculation on the building

step three:
FINANCING AND REBATES

From walking you through the contract to securing financing and registering for rebates, we do all the heavy lifting. We figure out how to get you the most money back and we fill out all the paperwork, too. Once the financing is secured we order the parts. (As the only part of the process that’s out of our hands, delivery can sometimes take 6-8 weeks).

step four:
INSTALLATION

Throughout the wait time, Peter will be in touch with updates and scheduling info. When the installation day comes, the process moves efficiently. Most single unit jobs can be completed in a day while larger projects could take up to a week. Peter and his team respect your space and interfere as little as possible with your daily activities during the process.

step five:
FOLLOW UP AND SUPPORT

Once we complete installation, Peter will explain how to use and care for your system to maintain optimal efficiency. Southcoast Heat Pumps also files all of the necessary rebate and warranty paperwork on your behalf. By signing up for maintenance, new customers can ensure their systems stay running like new for years to come.
